ABOUT SAM HUNTLEY:
Sam Huntley was born in London in 1979. In 1999 he completed a one year foundation course at Camberwell College of Arts in London. He went on to study at the University of Brighton, graduating from the BA(Hons) Graphic Design course in 2002. He made his first short film "Polish your Shoes" in 2003.
"Polish Your Shoes" has so far won 9 International Film awards around the world, including "Best International Short Film" at the 49th Cork International Film Festival 2004 in Ireland, where it shared the award with Andrea Arnold's Oscar winning film "Wasp". It has also won two further awards previously won by "Wasp".
Sam is currently developing a short documentary called "The Pocket Venus", about Mildred Shay, a 93 year old former Hollywood starlet who now lives in London. Mildred starred in over 40 films with, among others, Joan Crawford and Norma Shearer, and had affairs with some of Hollywood's leading men, including Errol Flynn and Roy Rogers.
