Sam Huntley is a London born filmmaker whose work encompasses commercials, short films and documentaries. He has a nuanced photographic style, capturing everyday moments in a natural and evocative way.

Previously featured in the Shots ‘New Directors’ showcase, Sam has directed campaigns for a diverse range of brands including McDonald’s, HSBC, Vodafone and recently shot two films with David Beckham for Savile Row clothing brand Kent & Curwen.

His films have been shortlisted at more than 40 international film festivals, winning awards in Melbourne, Cork, Kinsale, Siena, Raindance and the London Short Film Festival amongst others, as well as being broadcast by numerous national networks including the BBC and Channel 4.

Sam’s long form documentary ‘Zoomer’; an intimate portrait of Mary DeBoutez Zellmer Fenoglio, an eccentric curiosity store owner born and raised in rural Kansas, USA was featured at the London UK Film Focus at BFI Southbank whilst he is also completing another long form documentary, ‘Back of Me Door’, a film about a group of teenagers in Stockport all dreaming of becoming professional darts players. 

He also recently shot a new narrative short film ‘Cherub’, a darkly comic film about a suburban encounter between a hapless guy and his rather more confrontational daughter and girlfriend.
